As part of the ‘DI SEA GUAL’ project, the “Salvatore Pugliatti” Department of Law at the University of Messina promotes a form of advanced research with a clear international outlook, focusing in particular on the Euro-Mediterranean area. The aim is to foster access to emerging legal goods through a framework of use inspired by the principles of sustainability and social justice, in collaboration with highly qualified professors, researchers, and experts from non-Italian Universities, Research institutions, or Higher education institution, to be involved in teaching and research activities.
In this context, the Department has planned the establishment of five chairs reserved for Visiting Professorsfrom prestigious foreign universities.
Each academic year, a public call will be issued to launch a selection procedure for the funding of five mobility grants for experts and scholars of high scientific standing affiliated with non-Italian universities, Research institutions, or Higher education institution.
The Visiting Professors will engage in research and teaching activities as part of the ‘DI SEA GUAL’ project.
One Visiting Professor will engage in teaching and research activities aimed at promoting a strategy of European territorial cooperation at a transnational level in the Mediterranean area (Developing an international strategy in the Euro-Mediterranean area – DISEA Chair).
Four Visiting Professors will focus on teaching and research in four thematic areas: environmental a goods, cultural goods, digital goods, and bio-economic goods. Their work will contribute to the development of ‘complex’ models of La Méditerranée and the circulation of new legal goods for the purpose of eco-sustainable territorial development in the Mediterranean context (Chair on goods for an updated anthropic loop – GUAL Chair).
