The University of Messina makes Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10 Enterprise and Minecraft Edu licences available to all students and staff.
The applications included in Microsoft 365 are: Word; Excel; PowerPoint; OneNote (available for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and online platforms); Outlook (full-featured for Windows, Mac and online for some Enterprise versions, while only offering Outlook.com webmail service for iOS and Android); Publisher and Access (available only on Windows operating systems).
It is possible to install Office desktop apps on up to five PCs or Macs in the user's availability (including personal PCs); and Office apps on up to five tablets and five mobile devices in the user's availability.
As it is cloud-based software, a number of online services are also offered to all UniME users: OneDrive (Microsoft's cloud storage service 5 TB per user), Microsoft Teams (communication and collaboration platform for virtual meetings and conference calls integrated with Skype for Business), Office Online, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer, Stream.
