Students at the University of Messina can take advantage of the Rosetta Stone programme for language learning free of charge.
Students of degree programmes in the Department of Law may use the programme to achieve the CFUs foreseen for Language Skills in their study plan.
Final test to verify knowledge acquired. The test is required when at least 5 CFU are foreseen in the study plan for language skills; it is not required when less than 5 CFU are foreseen.
For the 5-year integrated degree in Law, 5 CFUs are allocated to Language Skills, so a final test must be passed.

Reservations must be made by sending an e-mail to the address unimestone@unime.it at least seven days before the exam date. It is not guaranteed that the test can be taken if the registration deadline is not met.

In order to ensure that language skills are maintained when the language proficiency is validated, lectures on Rosetta Stone should be taken during the course year in which the language proficiency is to be taken, whether this involves 5 or 3 CFUs.
Students with an external B1-level certificate whose study plan includes 5 CFUs will have to integrate 2 CFUs and take the final test, which ensures the achievement of B2-level language skills.
External certifications issued by MIUR-approved certifying bodies must be sent to the Language Commission by protocol. Applications approved by the Commission will be ratified by the Departmental Council.
Students are informed that the Department Council, on 21 December 2020, resolved that the only language certificates obtained outside the University of Messina that may be recognised for the purposes of language proficiency are those issued by the certifying bodies indicated by MIUR.
Students who, on the basis of their study plan, are required to obtain a language qualification equal to 5 CFU (level B2) are also informed that the submission of a language certificate obtained outside the University of Messina, equal to level B1, will in any case entail the need for integration on the Rosetta Stone platform for a number of hours corresponding to 2 CFU.
Per il conseguimento dell'idoneità linguistica da 3 cfu è obbligatorio lo svolgimento delle ore sulla piattaforma rosettastone, 25 ore per ciascun cfu.
Per il conseguimento dell'idoneità linguistica da 5 cfu è raccomandato lo svolgimento di un congruo numero di ore sulla piattaforma Rosettastone, sulla base del livello di partenza di ciascuno studente. [level b1] [level b2]

Se l’idoneità linguistica supera i 4 cfu è previsto un test di livello B1 o B2.
Al fine di un buon esito della prova raccomandiamo di svolgere parte delle ore di frequenza sulla piattaforma Fluency Builder avendo richiesto al gruppo di assistenza Rosetta Stone un upgrade nel caso in cui ilPlacement test ti abbia collocato sulla piattaforma di Foundations.

Gli studenti del corso di laurea triennale che completano le attività di studio sulla piattaforma rosettastone senza raggiungere il numero di ore previste in base ai CFU previsti dal loro piano di studi, devono segnalarlo sul gruppo unimestone@unime.it. L'OBIETTIVO non va chiuso. il responsabile tecnico della piattaforma, dopo aver verificato la correttezza dell'informazione, provvederà a inserire ulteriori attività.

L'obiettivo da 5 CFU per gli studenti del Corso di laurea magistrale a ciclo unico in Giurisprudenza è stato inserito sulla piattaforma Rosetta Stone.
Per gli studenti che hanno scelto in precedenza l'obiettivo 3, al fine di non perdere le ore già effettuate ai fini del monitoraggio, è consentito, in via eccezionale, di chiedere la migrazione all’obiettivo di 5 CFU.
A tal fine è importante che lo studente NON CHIUDA L'OBIETTIVO, ma invii una mail con nominativo e matricola entro il 10 gennaio 2021 all'indirizzo unimestone.giurisprudenza@unime.it e, per conoscenza, all'indirizzo amadera@unime.it, al fine di effettuare il passaggio.
Il passaggio dall’obiettivo di 3 CFU a quello di 5 CFU non sarà possibile in futuro.
