Orientation and Mentoring Commission

A Orientation and Mentoring Commission is set up within the Department. It comprises the Department Director, or his delegate, who chairs it, the Coordinators of the Study Courses, or teachers delegated by them, and two students elected by the student representatives on the Department Council.
The Commission's functions are: to welcome, support and assist students in order to guide their choice in the pre-enrollment phase, to prevent drop-outs and delays in studies, and to link the course of study with professional outlets.
In addition, the Commission supports initiatives aimed at helping students overcome any difficulties they may have in starting their studies and ensuring their continuation and links the course of study with professional outlets.
The Commission proposes propaedeutic and intensive teaching-related, support and remedial activities aimed at enabling the student to clear any educational debts and gain access to the first year of the course.
Finally, the Commission proposes tutoring activities aimed at ascertaining and improving the student's preparation by means of customised teaching to overcome specific learning difficulties.
