Guidance and Tutoring Committee

Within the Department, a Committee for Student Guidance and Tutoring is established. It is composed of the Head of the Department or a delegated representative, who serves as Chair; the Coordinators of the Degree Programs or faculty members appointed by them; and two students elected by the student representatives within the Department Council.
The Committee's functions are to ensure welcome, support, and assistance to students, with the aim of guiding their choices prior to enrollment, preventing dropout and delays in academic progress, and fostering connections between the Degree Program and professional career paths. Furthermore, the Committee promotes initiatives designed to help students overcome any initial difficulties in starting their studies and to ensure their continuation, while also strengthening the link between academic training and future employment opportunities.
The Committee proposes introductory and intensive educational activities, as well as support and remedial programs, aimed at enabling students to fulfill any academic prerequisites and to access the first year of the Degree Program. It also proposes tutoring activities designed to assess and improve students’ preparation through personalized academic support, helping them overcome specific learning difficulties.
