The series of peer-reviewed publications, called 'Publications of the Department of Law of the University of Messina', which bears the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN), is intended for the publication of monographies, edited volumes, and conference or seminar proceedings.
The authors will be professors and researchers belonging to the Department, research fellows, holders of research contracts, PhD and PhD students who have carried out or are carrying out the relevant research activity at the Department.
On the motivated proposal of at least two members of the Department Council, the publication of works by external scholars is allowed, provided they are consistent with the Department's methodologies and cultural and research lines.
The modalities and procedures for the admission of volumes for publication in the series are governed by special regulations.

The Director of the series is the pro tempore of Director the Department, Prof. Alessio Lo Giudice.

The Governing Council is made up of the Director and eight other members appointed by the Department Council to represent the various scientific macrosectors, from among the full or associate professors belonging to the Department who exceed the threshold values (at least two out of three) laid down by the ASN in their respective band or in the band immediately above them.

The Scientific Council is composed of a number of members at least equal to that of the scientific-disciplinary fields that contribute to the Department's training offer, so as to ensure the full representativeness of each field.
The appointment of the members of the Scientific Council is decided by the Department Council, choosing among academics with a high scientific profile, preferably foreigners and in any case not structured in the University of Messina.
